Top-out spring washer for cartridge swap
At 38mm, the Jones springs are too short, which is further exacerbated by the material removed during the process of squaring the ends. A washer at each end gets the stack back to the target of 40mm. The top washer also serves to protect the surface the spring would otherwise contact and could otherwise damage when the fork tops out. These washers had the correct thickness and ID to begin with, but the OD was too large. Left as delivered; right with OD machined to match spring and ID lightly chamfered to remove burrs.
