'01 Speed Triple valve springs

Standard springs allow the valves to float before the horsepower falls off. The stock Speed Triple rev limit is set below this point to prevent float. The Daytona rev limit is set a bit higher, but that isn't because there's no float. The Daytona pistons simply have more piston to valve clearance to prevent immediate damage (!). Note ends of springs are not chamfered and have sharp corners on the tails. Also note that the spring seat has no locating shoulder to prevent the springs from moving sideways. The result is excessive wear to the spring seat at only 8K miles.
